TYPE C Male Head 16PIN Clamp Plate 0.8 Riveted with Grounding

TYPE C male head 16PIN clamp with 0.8 riveting and grounding is a highly reliable full-featured connector. The 16PIN layout supports USB 2.0 (480Mbps) and PD 3.0 (60W) fast charging. The 0.8mm stainless steel clamp is integrated with the shell through cold riveting process, with a tensile strength of ≥ 8N. The grounding hook design (grounding resistance ≤ 10m Ω) achieves efficient EMI shielding (≥ 50dB), and the tensile stainless steel shell has an impact resistance of 50kgf. The overall length is 10.8mm, supporting both positive and negative blind insertion and a lifespan of 10000 insertions and removals. It is suitable for scenarios with high electromagnetic compatibility requirements such as industrial control and vehicle mounted equipment.

    Industry certification

    USB-IF certification: Compliant with USB PD 3.0 standard, supports eMarker cable recognition and dynamic power allocation.

    Safety certification: UL 498 certified, withstand voltage test 1500V AC without breakdown, terminal tension ≥ 8N, in compliance with IEC 62368-1 safety specifications.

    Environmental certification: RoHS 2.0/REACH SVHC compliance, LCP material is recyclable, and the production process has passed ISO 14001 environmental management system certification.

    Reliability testing

    Environmental testing: Salt spray test for 72 hours without corrosion, stable performance after 1000 temperature cycles from -40 ℃ to 85 ℃.

    Electrical testing: Temperature rise ≤ 15 ℃ under 5A load, 10Gbps data transmission error rate ≤ 10 ^ -12, eye opening ≥ 80%.

    Installation specifications

    Welding parameters: Reflow welding temperature 250 ± 5 ℃, manual welding ≤ 320 ℃, priority welding of grounding hooks to ensure the continuity of the shielding layer.

    PCB design: The spacing tolerance of the clamp pad is ± 0.05mm, the grounding pin needs to be connected to ≥ 30mm ² copper-clad, and the impedance control of the signal layer is 100 Ω± 10%.

    Positioning requirements: Use fixtures to calibrate the verticality, with a tilt angle of ≤ 1 °, to avoid stress concentration causing pin breakage.

    Usage environment

    Temperature and humidity range: working temperature -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, humidity ≤ 85% RH (no condensation), avoid strong acid-base and high dust environments.

    Current limit: Continuous current ≤ 4.5A, instantaneous peak value ≤ 6A, can support 100W fast charging with eMarker cable (requires external protocol chip).

    Maintenance suggestions

    Regular cleaning: wipe the terminals with anhydrous alcohol, avoid using metal tools, and prevent damage to the gold plating layer.

    Long term storage: sealed in a moisture-proof bag (humidity ≤ 50%), with a storage period of ≤ 2 years, to avoid shell oxidation and LCP moisture absorption.

    Compatibility notes 

    Protocol matching: It needs to be paired with a PD protocol chip (such as FS8025B) to achieve fast charging, and the DisplayPort function requires an external adapter chip.

    Mother seat adaptation: It is recommended to pair with TYPE C mother seats with metal shells to ensure reliable contact of the shielding layer (contact resistance ≤ 10m Ω).
