Waterproof TYPE C female socket 14PIN wire type 2 pads L=14.6 is a high reliability connector designed for outdoor and humid environments, supporting USB 2.0 (480Mbps) and PD 3.0 (60W) fast charging. The 14PIN layout integrates power, grounding, and protocol signals, with a board design that integrates two solder pads (VBUS+GND) and is compatible with 1.0-1.6mm PCBs. Stretching stainless steel shell (thickness 0.15mm) with dual sealing rings (inner and outer rings) to achieve IPX7 waterproof rating and impact resistance of up to 30kgf. The wire bonding terminal supports wire bonding of 0.5-1.0mm ², with an overall length of 14.6mm, compatible with reflow soldering technology, and suitable for scenarios such as underwater equipment and automotive electronics that require high waterproof and weather resistance.

    Industry certification

    USB-IF certification: Compliant with USB PD 3.0 and USB 2.0 standards, supporting 5V/3A and 9V/2A fast charging protocols.

    Safety certification: Passed UL 498 testing, withstand voltage of 1000V AC/1min without breakdown, terminal tension ≥ 5N, in compliance with GB 4943.1 safety specifications.

    Environmental certification: RoHS 2.0/REACH compliant, LCP material recyclable, production process certified by ISO 14001.

    Reliability testing

    Environmental testing: 500 cycles of high and low temperature from -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, with a contact resistance change of ≤ 8%; Storage at 95% RH humidity for 48 hours, insulation resistance ≥ 500M Ω.

    Waterproof test: IPX7 standard (soaked in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes), leakage rate ≤ 0.1mL/min; IPX9K standard (80 ℃ high-pressure spray), with no deformation of the shell.

    Installation specifications

    Welding parameters: Reflow welding temperature 250 ± 5 ℃, manual welding ≤ 320 ℃, welding time ≤ 3 seconds, to avoid LCP overheating and deformation.

    Wire treatment: The wire needs to be stripped by 3.0 ± 0.5mm, using solder paste (residual flux ≤ 0.1%), with a solder joint height ≤ 1.2mm to prevent short circuits.

    Sealing ring installation: Ensure that the inner sealing ring is inserted into the terminal slot, and the outer sealing ring is tightly attached to the PCB. Use a fixture to press it together (pressure 5 ± 1kgf).

    Usage environment

    Temperature and humidity range: working temperature -20 ℃ to 85 ℃, storage temperature -30 ℃ to 90 ℃, humidity ≤ 85% RH (no condensation).

    Taboo scenarios: Avoid using in strong electromagnetic environments (>50mT), high-frequency vibrations (>20g), or medical grade anti-interference scenarios.

    Maintenance suggestions

    Regular inspection: Visually check whether the sealing ring is aging every quarter, and use a multimeter to measure the VBUS/GND contact resistance (≤ 30m Ω).

    Cleaning and maintenance: Wipe the terminals with anhydrous alcohol, avoid sharp tools, and prevent wear of the nickel plating layer (thickness ≥ 50 μ ").

    Long term storage: Sealed in an anti-static bag (humidity ≤ 60%), avoiding contact between the shell and acidic substances, with a storage period of ≤ 2 years.

    Compatibility notes 

    Function limitation: No high-speed signal pin, not suitable for transmission scenarios above USB 3.0.

    Equipment matching: Suitable for TYPE C male heads without metal shells. Full function male heads may cause slight interference due to grounding suspension (probability<5%).
