Installation specifications
Welding parameters:
Reflow soldering: temperature 250 ± 5 ℃, preheat 150-200 ℃ for 90 seconds, avoid prolonged high temperature (≤ 60 seconds) in the strip part.
Manual welding: Temperature ≤ 320 ℃, time ≤ 3 seconds, prioritize welding the grounding pad to ensure reliable connection of the shielding layer.
PCB design:
The tolerance for solder pad spacing is ± 0.05mm, and there is no need for an external resistor for the CC pin (directly connected to the strip resistor). It is recommended to cover the power layer with copper ≥ 15mm ².
The distance between the signal layer and the power layer is ≥ 0.3mm to reduce the impact of power noise on data transmission (noise ≤ 50mV).
Positioning requirement: Use a fixture to calibrate the verticality of the clamp plate, with a tilt angle of ≤ 1.5 °, to avoid stress concentration on the solder pad causing resistance fracture.
Usage environment
Temperature and humidity range: working temperature -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, storage temperature -50 ℃ to 90 ℃, humidity ≤ 85% RH (no condensation).
Current limit: The recommended continuous operating current is ≤ 3A, and the instantaneous peak value is ≤ 4A. Paired with eMarker cable, it can support 60W fast charging (requires an external protocol chip).
Maintenance suggestions
Regular testing: Measure the CC pin resistance (5.1K Ω± 1%) with a multimeter every quarter, and measure the contact resistance using the 4-wire method (≤ 30m Ω).
Cleaning and maintenance: Wipe the surface of the strip board with anhydrous alcohol, and prohibit corrosive cleaning agents to prevent oxidation of the resistor pins (oxide layer thickness ≤ 1 μ m).
Long term storage: The non installed mother base should be sealed in a moisture-proof bag (humidity ≤ 60%) to avoid contact between the board resistor and sulfides (such as rubber pads). The storage period should be ≤ 2 years.
Compatibility Tips
Protocol limitation: Only supports PD 3.0 basic version (non PPS), requiring an external protocol chip (such as IP2112) to achieve fast charging of 100W or more.
Equipment matching: When paired with the fully functional TYPE C male connector, ensure that the CC pin of the male connector has no additional resistance to avoid resistance conflicts that may cause handshake failure.
