TYPE C female seat 16PIN Apple style board with raised American standard old model with middle clip 20W

TYPE C female seat 16PIN Apple version board with raised US standard old version with middle clip 20W specially designed for old Apple device models. The 16PIN layout is compatible with Lightning adapter protocol and USB2.0 data transmission, supporting 5V/3A (20W) PD fast charging. The board has a raised structure (raised by 1.5mm) that is suitable for special PCB height differences. The middle clip enhances mechanical stability, and the US standard certification (UL/FCC) ensures safety and compliance. Adopting high conductivity copper terminals with gold plating of 3 μ m and LCP insulation that can withstand high temperatures of 260 ℃, it is suitable for accessories such as Apple chargers, docking stations, and car mounts, and is compatible with older models such as iPhone 12 and below.

    Certification and Standards

    American Standard Certification:

    UL 498 certification (file number EXXXXXX): Passed 1500V AC withstand voltage test, terminal tension ≥ 5N, in compliance with US electrical safety standards.

    FCC Part 15 Class B: Electromagnetic radiation ≤ 40dB μ V/m (30-1000MHz), to avoid interference with wireless signals.

    Environmental compliance:

    RoHS 2.0/REACH SVHC: lead-free, halogen-free, LCP material is recyclable, and the production process has passed ISO 14001 environmental certification.

    Apple compatibility:

    Supports Apple 2.4A charging protocol and PD 2.0 (5V/3A), requiring the use of MFi certified chips (such as Dialog iW1781) to achieve full functionality.

    Reliability testing

    Environmental testing:

    High and low temperature cycling: -20 ℃ to 85 ℃, with a contact resistance change of ≤ 10% after 500 cycles.

    Humidity test: Store in a 95% RH environment for 48 hours, with an insulation resistance of ≥ 500M Ω

    Mechanical testing:

    Plug and unplug lifespan: Contact resistance ≤ 40m Ω after 8000 cycles, deformation of the middle clip ≤ 0.2mm

    Vibration test: 10-500Hz, 15g acceleration, continuous for 2 hours without looseness (simulating vehicle vibration environment).

    Installation specifications

    Welding parameters:

    Reflow soldering: Temperature 250 ± 5 ℃, preheat 150-200 ℃ for 90 seconds to avoid overheating and deformation of the raised part.

    Manual welding: temperature ≤ 320 ℃, time ≤ 3 seconds, prioritize welding the middle clip fixing foot (diameter 0.6mm) to ensure positioning accuracy.

    PCB design:

    Set up 4.5mm × 1.5mm grooves in the elevated area, with a depth tolerance of ± 0.05mm, to ensure that the mother seat is installed perpendicular to the board surface.

    The Apple specific CC pin needs to be connected to a protocol chip (such as Cypress CYPD3175) to avoid direct grounding and protocol handshake failure.

    Positioning requirements: Use an apple male head fixture for calibration to ensure that the middle clip is aligned with the male head buckle, with a deviation angle of ≤ 2 °.

    Usage environment

    Temperature and humidity range: operating temperature -20 ℃ to 85 ℃ (higher than the operating temperature range of Apple devices), storage temperature -30 ℃ to 90 ℃, humidity ≤ 85% RH

    Taboo scenario: Prohibited for use with power output exceeding 20W (older models support up to 5V/3A), avoid contact with solvents such as alcohol and gasoline (which may corrode the gold plating layer).

    Maintenance suggestions

    Regular inspection: visually inspect the clamp for looseness every quarter, and use a multimeter to measure the resistance between VBUS and GND (normal ≤ 30m Ω).

    Cleaning and maintenance: Use a cotton swab with anhydrous alcohol to wipe the terminals, and do not use metal tools for cleaning to prevent damage to the gold plating layer of the male head of the Apple device.

    Long term storage: If the mother seat is not in use, it should be sealed in an anti-static bag (humidity ≤ 60%) to avoid deformation of the raised part due to compression. The storage period should be ≤ 2 years.

    Compatibility Tips

    Device matching: Only compatible with old Apple devices that support USB 2.0 and PD 2.0 (such as iPhone 8 to iPhone 12), compatible with new iPhone 13 and above models but not supporting fast charging above 20W.

    Cable selection: It is recommended to use Apple certified USB-C to Lightning cables, as non certified cables may cause charging interruptions or abnormal data transmission.
